The film is short, just 3633 m (132.5 min) and out of that, beginning few minutes are used building/ showing Salman's character. And then that slow portion building Salman-Katrina angle. The real film starts after that and that's not boring at all. There are plenty of twists and turns.
Audio was definitely surround throughout the film. Production values were good too ......
I Agree, liked it too. Normally i avoid everything with Salman and Katrina in it so this was a pleasant surprise for me
Great parts: Salman was good as an middleage indian James Bond and Kaif, even though she always felt irritating to me before, was surprisingly good also.
Maybe she's an actress now finally and not just a hot cookie, because hot she is. Definitely.
But the best thing about the film, i felt, was the action scenes.
To be honest, normally Bollywood action is a far bit below standard comp. with Hwood and other film industries as Hong Kong. Maybe a tradition thing or
lack of knowledge. The explosions in modern Bollywood action always mostly have had a slightly cheap "10 years behind" CGI look and the fighting's been let down
by deeply rooted masala style punches with people flying many meters after impact.
But in Ek Tha Tiger the crew wisely concentrates mostly on a couple of "real" chase scenes in some great locations, a 2000 year old arabic town (Mardin), Dublin
and Havana. The rooftop chase in Mardin looked beautiful and i liked the tram trip in Dublin too.
Only at the end there was a somewhat masala tinted poorly used bluescreen scene (Salman on a bike chasing a plane, but still a great overall modern action film.
Maybe Bollywood now want the action scenes to look as great as the other stuff (already great camera visuals, nice actors and astounding dance numbers)?
The dance numbers in Ek Tha Tiger were great too
