After hearing your concerns on the forums (and on blu-ray forums) Moserbear actually approched AP International on doing thier next blu-ray title "Parashiraja" .

I was then contacted by AP International and I decided to give my input. We asked Moserbear for the 2K DPX file (uncut version) that was delivered on Monday. Work was progressing and the intial results we were producing was stunning. However, Moserbear has now pulled the project away - and have decided to do this in-house. We haven't been given any reason why they have done this.

Its a shame really. You could've had a great blu-ray disc of a great film. Oh well...on to our next blu-ray project...Kandukodian Kandukodian...

It's their loss. They should have never be on the blu-ray market. I hate their cheap dvds. I am happy that now you guys can concentrate on Kandukondian Kondukondian.

It is our loss as well. We get devoid of quality blu rays. Wish enforcement of BD specs was stringent in India.

@ Sunny. What do you mean by uncut version? Is it an uncensored version? US is a big market for Uncut movies. When can we seen this trend in India. (Is it possible to release an uncut version of an Indian movie abroad, If yes, why not director's exploit this opportunity for addressing international audiences.

Now we hear 'Kites' being released in different versions. Indian censor board curbs a director's vision.

Its a shame of course for Moserbaer pulled off the project, the 4 movies released by them were an utter shame and not even constructive enough to be a blu-ray authoring house at all.

Kandukondain Kandukondain next on blu-ray. You're the man Shahran! I love your works.

Keep it coming mate.

Cheerio

When is the Kandukodian Kandukodian Blu-Ray due for release and will it have full subtitles on the film as well as the songs?

The problem with Indian films is that the producers will sell the rights to as many distributors so no one can make a decent profit except the producer himself while the distributors are on a LIMB.Moser baer dvds are for sale in India only but are readily available in the USA from on line retailers who have agreed to sell in INDIA only.

Is it cost that prevents studios from seeking out quality authoring houses like yours? I understand BD is still in its nascent stages in India and Moser Baer has been synonymous with low cost DVD's. But unless you don't provide discernible quality, why would the consumer pay a premium for BD in India. YRF is doing a good job with good quality BD's at relatively reasonable prices... but i was hoping a MB would shape the market with sub-500 BD's at high quality. They (and we) stand to benefit in the long run!
