In coimbatore airport, there is an ad TV that relays ad in 3D. The only ad it carries now is to advertise on the 3D TV thought Its pretty good though, so the technology exist.

i believe Panasonic is leading the way for 3D plasma/LCD. Not sure what digital media it will be carried though:)

They are re-releasing Avatar in a longer version in 3D and I-Max 3D on Aug 27, worldwide. Indian distributors talk of Digital 3D and no mention of I-Max. I assume India is at least 5 Yrs behind the rest of the world in showing "Regular to I-Max converted" screenings. (in the west, for the last few Yrs, all major films are released in I-Max format alongwith regular 35mm film format)

Avatar was what it was just because of IMAX 3D, otherwise do not bother. I watched Alice in Wonderland, same IMAX 3D but came out disappointed! not to over spend again

Avatar is one of the best films of the year. The work's most exciting, interesting and good that you eat your eyes in all theaters of this century. Cinema, will always remember the benchmark that James Cameron not only good for him but for any man who dared to change the game, how do Cameron.

We were watching POCAHONTAS yesterday and could not help feeling that Cameron's AVATAR may be rehash/ ripoff/ adaptation of POCAHONTAS!!

I thought it was largely clear to everyone that the plot was that of Pocahaontas. The films photo-realistic CGI is the element inwhich drew the crowds.
