Is this a movie worth buying?

To be honest Farooq, I dont know! Just a fan of Yash Chopra and it looks the 'Daag' type, so I got it.

I will let u know in this thread if its any good but I know it flopped at the BO

Will wait for your verdict, as I too am a HUGE HUGE fan of Yashji....can't wait to see his last film...he said he would direct one last one.

Got around to watch this one today. First of all, the teaming of Yash Chopra - Dev Anand does not go right. Either another actor should have done the role of Dev Anand or Vijay Anand should have directed the film. Second, the film is not a film I would class as a Yash Chopra film; right at the end you question yourself, did Yash Chopra really make this? I could class something like Vijay or Faasle as a Yash Chopra film, but not this. If Vijay Anand had made this, maybe it would have been better. The film tries hard to be another Johny Mera Naam but fails badly. The script is weak; way too many things going on at once; and Bindu playing the role of Hema's step mom! Urghh! And yes, R.D Burman music and songs dont make a spark!

I am not a fan of Dev Anand but some of his films are neat, mainly the ones made with his brothers. Joshila should have been Vijay Anand's baby not Yash Chopra's!

Overall, a below average film. Not really worth a watch but worth for the Dev Anand fans.
