Just noticed that Shemaroo have released the DVD of Leader (Dilip / Vyjayanthimala). I have wanted to get this movie for ages - but didn't buy the Eros version because it was awful quality.

Does anyone know what this version is like - is it anamorphic and in the original aspect ratio? Also if someone knows the running time of the DVD that would be great!

atleast eros print is sharp. highly doubt shemaroo would do better

Leader by eros is not best or anything, but sharper than usual shemaroo print from what i remember. even the screenshots by ali doesn't show the video to be that bad. lets see if someone has the shemaroo dvd, plus side on shemaroo (if any) probably be vibrant color.

What was the run time of LEADER, when released in the 60s ??

I noticed from CC in EROS DVD, it's length to be 5095 meters (35 mm Filmalayascope). This comes out to 185 min where as EROS DVD is 169 min.

The theatrical release was 176 mins if I remember correctly. Anyhow, a class movie, but so far a shitty release on DVD. :)
