I never could hold of the DEI/EROS version of Andaz Apna Apna. I have had the EROS version, which looks really good in terms of picture quality. I was wondering if someone could do a comparison between the two and state the difference if at all. It seems like the EROS version has used the same transfer as for the DEI/EROS release. If there is a difference, please state so...

Just check if it's Proggressive or not. If Progressive, then sure it'll be the same as DEI-EROS as EROS hasn't encoded any DVDs in Progressive except for 4 or 5 and Andaaz Apna Apna is not among them.

BTW, DEI-EROS brand DVDs may not be listed by web-retailers but all are easily available.

From what I know DEI-EROS were the best dvds (And still are)
But Eros Sued DEI becase they had some copyright row then DEI had to shut down and they renamed them self to BEI so that they dont have to pay Eros the fine.
Eros DVD's (NOT DEI ONES) have always been rubbish just take MEIN HOON NA PQ its worse than a pirate print

It's cropped, non-anamorphic 1.90:1 (roughly).

Wish it wasn't cropped -- credits seem to be 2.00:1 and rest of the movie 1.90:1.

...seems to have new menus and possibly re-authored video sourced from the DEI DVD? Framing looks slightly odd as there is a black gap on the right hand side. Compare the title/credits shots with the other shots and it looks practically the same video with same AR. This is typical of Eros second gen DVDs that were first on DEI/Eros label. If the video has been re-processed then it's most probably lost the progressive nature of the first encode.
