Zoran009, can you change the title to
Johnny Gaddaar - Adlabs & Big Home Video DVDs [DVD shots]
=

The Big Home DVD has director's commentary included ;-) wow!
It also has the alt ending in the extras.

The 'Big Home DVD' also has some kind of problem. I have tried three different DVDs all with the same problem. When you insert the disc it automatically starts and plays the Big Home DVD promo and then when it ought to go to the main Menu the disk just stops and if you press play, it goes thru the same routine again. Anyhow there is a workaround to it. Once the DVD stops, simply press Menu and start Play from the menu. The film itself plays fine and is presented in reasonable audio/video quality. As for the alternate ending, it does not deter much from the original ending and does not add much to it either. The ending the theatrical release works much better.

PS: The film itself is great and is one of the best if not the best of the year so far.

You are absolutely right about the "start" problem, but like you say, there's an easy workaround. The earlier Big dvd - Cash -- too had several problems.

The movie -- fabulous!!

Any one has the reason behind this problem. The Big DVD plays perfectly on quite few players and some players in stops as mentioned above... is there a problem with the authoring or something... ?

also what problems did you face with the CASH DVD from Big ?

Cheers

Cash -- I tried at least 10 different discs -- all of them had significan no. of disc reading errors. I finally gave up the idea of purchasing this, and wrote a complaint to Universal Studios which has moved out of SaReGaMa to Big for distribution rights in India.

JG -- I think a "Stop" is coded at the end of the Big logo which "auto stops" the dvd after playing the logo.

thanks Newdeep.... so as i guess its a authoring problem.

Wonder how some players it works fine and other it does not. I check in LG/Pioneer/Godrej/Philips it worked perfectly... but in a Bose/Sony (few) it stopped. I guess its some compatibility problem.

Cheers

Johnny Gaddaar (Big Home DVD) is out of stock at some stores -- good to see this doing well.

Big has released the music too -- and an exclusive mini audio cd with a single not found on the complete audio cd.
