Shemaroo is selling almost all of their films for 99 cents. Has any one received any of these DVDs ?? Are they the same as when these sold for over $ 10 ??
For one dollar, it's tempting to buy hundreds of DVDs (hoping to scan them at least, someday) at once but what if these are compressed versions or if they are on DVD-Rs, or if they are on quick rot media ??

If these are really the same stuff that sold for over $ 10 in the past, then what's the catch ?? Or, may be they realized how to maximize profits is by selling cheaper than pirates ?? Obviously, by selling for $ 2 - $ 3 pirates have been making more money than the right holders selling for $ 10 and up. I guess, mass producing pressed DVDs is a lot cheaper than batch production of burnt DVD-Rs.

Looks like a big sale just for Diwali according to Shemaroo website.

I'm guessing the DVDs at 99 cents will be the same quality as the DVD at 10 dollars?

DVD cost is 99 cents and shipping cost is $15. If you order 100 DVDs then average DVD price would be around $5.5.

Not worth it.

rana, you might get a good bargain when you buy shemaroos 2 dvds at 99 cents sale price to canada shipping converted is $14.04 for two items so its about $8.00 each , not bad considering you’d pay more at some sites charging shipping plus 99 cents per item.

JAT get facts real are you a customer of shermaroo ? then don’t mislead people when you haven’t bought their dvds to presume shermaroos dvds are used or repackaged.

I too found the same that even a free Shemaroo DVD costs around $ 8 when shipping cost and customs costs are included. At 99 cents you can't ship them to Indian address at India shipping costs either.

So, still it's cheaper to pay higher Indian price and ship to Indian address.
