In my job, I’ve a lot of face-to-face dealings with clients. Whilst fasting during Ramadan this can be a little more than awkward as the breath is not at its freshest! I’ve had someone make a complaint about me and I'm now thinking of fasting only on weekends instead. I'm curious to know how other Muslims get on, and would be grateful for any useful tips for reducing bad breath during Ramadan.

Maybe it's time to give up the kiss-o-gram job and find something else

I can't imagine a job where someone's breath can be cause of a complaint, I would say the person who made the complaint has some issues of their own. And I don't understand what you would do different if not fasting? Chew gum all the time? :?

I've just got used to brushing my teeth after every meal. Maybe reduce the intake of garlic, ginger and onions foods - which basically means don’t eat desi foods

Maybe that's just your regular breath, and Ramzan gives them an excuse to complain... . Just carry a box of Tic-Tacs or a small bottle of Listerine: problem solved.

 What the heck! Just deal with them "back to back", or better yet wear one of those thingamajig mouth covering surgeons use! Seriously man use "miswak" as often as possible, it does the trick and no danger of breaking your fast prematurely!

Thanks for suggestions, will try Miswak.

On a regular day, I normally drink loads of water so no problems. But during Ramadan, mouth becomes dry and that causes me this embrassing problem!
