Using transcode360 apparently you can stream most formats inc HD x264 to xbox360 - I've not got a xbox360 to try this out but you can get the program from;

Transcode doesn't work for me as I'm on XP.
Windows media player 11 supports WMD-HD formats, not sure what it plays it in as I use headphones although I think I read its only in stereo at moment (I could be wrong about that though).

If you want to play hack H264 formats then windows media player cant share that format with xbox360 yet. But Zune software can apparently out of the box. I havent tried that yet, but have been using WM11.

Once you have seen a 1080p image, 720p looks very cheap in comparison. Grainy washed colours, soft etc. I'm gonna compare my Matrix 720p with the 1080p rip later if I can get Zune to work.

Honestly I never liked 720P, and always prefered 1080i, till I got 1080P, and that is twice the resolution, altogether in diff league altogether. If you have a 1080P display and able to playback, 1080P, then watching 720P, you are doing disfavor to yourself imho.

hindi dvds are a different kinda plague imho!

Iam using my tversity on window xp, and works very stable. I can watch Divx, MP4, MPEG 2, but two channel sound, only WMV HD withh 5.1 streams as 5.1.

I watched on HD NET Gandhi last night in 1080i, believe me it was so much superior almost 3D PQ, cant wait BR on that.keep in touch, pm me if you have any further info to share.
