Which retailers are carrying/selling this version of the dvd and more importantly for me, are the songs fully subtitled?

I bet it's the same transfer as the ADLABS version.

The audio is indeed messed up - it's the pitch correction that's to blame.

It sounded to me like each of the 5 channels in the 5.1 mix were pitch corrected seperately, which has resulted in them all running several miliseconds out of sync with each other. This makes the complete audio track sound garbled and echoey.

By the way, I noticed that there is no audio whatsoever in the centre channel during the songs and possibly the rest of the film too.

I've just checked the disc again, and you're right. The centre channel (which usually hosts the dialogue) is completely blank for the entire film!

So essentially, someone forgot to include the centre channel in the mix. What a major screw-up. :?

That's strange abt the audio! I wish I could check the dvd I borrowed from a store, but returned it...

If the centre speaker has no sound -- does that mean this is 4.1? But PowerDVD shows this as 5.1 and the bitrate is 448... strange :(

The audio does have a centre channel - there's just no audio actually on it.
