Possibily, it was on the wrong setting. Guess it meant you were pleased with actual DVD as you were complaining the colour of the shots were overty-jublient!

With regard to PARVARISH, I am having difficulty in finding the same shots. The other thing is Shemaroo version is very variable, some scenes are excellent, others are very dirty.

Shots from the Shemaroo DVD...

(The disc is field-averaged PAL-to-NTSC, phony 5.1 audio etc. - the usual stuff from Shemaroo)

Anyone know if the WEG disc was pseudo-progressive? I saw some clips from this film on a Hema Malini songs DVD that were pseudo-prog - they looked exactly like the same kind of transfers on the Eros/Prasad batch of releases, but there's no mention anywhere of an Eros Mehbooba DVD.

Could someone please comment on this film? I haven't seen it yet. How does it compare with other Shakti Samanta/Rajesh Khanna films such as Aradhana, Amar Prem, Kati Patang, etc.?

I haven't got the WEG version, but here's a comparison with the Shemaroo shots from a few posts above...

A clear win for Shemaroo I'd say. Although I'm sure that elusive Prasad DVD is the best, if anyone can find it? :?

Just that there's probably an Eros DVD out there with a pseduo-prog transfer by Prasad, ala Caravan, Gumnaam, Johnny Mera Naam etc.

I've only seen clips from it on a Hema Malini songs DVD, but I'm pretty sure they were not from the WEG disc.
