The Australian version is just the Eros disc repackaged. The only difference is the case it comes in.

Germany's EuroVideo might be releasing LRMB on DVD this year. EuroVideo usually always use the original PAL masters that Eros mess up when they convert them to NTSC, so fingers crossed they'll provide a good disc.

Are their PAL masters any good?

They're the same as the ones Eros use, but without all the logos, ringtone adverts and pixellating.

Stephen Bhai does the LRMB DVD have those annoying ringtone adverts during the movie or songs? I thought they stopped that after 'Lucky' and 'Waqt' I have been holding off on buying this DVD since I dont want an EROS DVD .. I am hoping for a SHEMAROO Release.

There's no ringtone ads on this DVD thankfully.

I don't think Shemaroo will be releasing this one though - I'm sure they'd have announced it by now. :(

Eros have released a very nicely packed 2-disc dvd in India too... For all the good about Shemaroo, the biggest bad is that none of their transfers is 2.35:1. All are cropped to about 2.2:1...

audio The Eros India dvd is "front-heavy" with very little (almost nil) rear surround channels activity.

Was it like this in the theatres?

And is it like this on the UK/US dvd too?

I don't think there's such a thing as a US, UK or Indian version of the Eros release. Only the artwork is different, the actual disc will be identical in all territories.

But yes, the DVD I have has poor audio as well.

Two previous Eros discs with improper rear surround audio are:
Main Hoon Na -- virtually zero rear activity
Paheli -- again, almost no rear surround

I noticed that LRMB is Dolby Digital 5.1 EX -- as mentioned in the end credits -- I think that's why Eros authors could not get right ;-)

I have returned the dvd without watching the movie. I somehow could not watch this dvd knowing that rear surround was not correctly recorded.

I look forward to this forum to advise if the R4 PAL is better, or if any other release happens :-)

There is no R4 PAL version - only another release from the same batch of Eros discs for the Australian market.

LRMB dvd is distributed by Shock Records in Australia. Shock is a big entity in Australia.

Is it sure that this is EROS sourced?

(Note that EROS logo does not always mean dvd source. EROS also distributes movies, and EROS logo sometimes signifies movie distribution only.)

I have the DVD - it's the same version as every other release so far. Only the packaging is different, the disc is exactly the same.
