These are some screenshots from the 2in1 (double sided/silver) version of Aankhen/Kohram being sold at Zellers Canada, released by some US company but truly are Video Sound (Aankhen) and Super Digital (Kohram) versions.

Below are screen shots of Kohram, pretty good, shots in forceweave mode:

is the video sound Aankhen this good? based on the above screenies, Khoram looks pretty good. I've seen this DVD a long while back, but on an SDTV. Tabu looked hawt in one of the songs :P too bad it's letterboxed, otherwise good enough.

VS-Media-Dimension version was incorrectly flagged Progressive. Looks like, this 2in1 version is correctly flagged.

Do't remember if the orig SD-VS version was correctly flagged and whether it was SL or DL ?? I got the VS-SD disc a few Yrs back. Will check if I can find it.

I have the VideoSound version of Kohram, and it looks about the same as this (though, perhaps, with more subtle, more pleasing reds). Overall, the transfer is quite acceptable, and the movie, itself, I quite like. 8) !

I found both of my discs, including the one bought directly from Super Digital. But, that too is really the same Media Dimension disc authored by Super Digital. So, VS-MD-SD disc is incorrectly flagged 24 fps progressive giving combing in most of the frames (Force Weave setting).

BTW, the disc is SL.

urbanlegend:
you said screen shots are in Force Weave. Were they selected randomly, in which case as there is no combing, this disc seem to have properly flagged progressive encoding. Pl confirm.

Thanks.

There was combing seen in some scenes of this version of Kohram so its the same copy. If the original was SL that thats why there was no compression artifacts (pixels) visible.

I will get the screenies from Aankhen as well ..

Am reasonably happy with these Priya DVDs - only picked up this and Muqabla though, so not sure whether they are consistent with this quality. Only downside is that these have been repackaged by Priya to fit the slim line cases, but they haven't bothered with the covers - they've photocopied the old covers and cut them to size
