I wonder how come DEI never brought out this film on DVD ? Afterall, most of Gulzars films are on DEI/BEI dvd's

Stellar performances from Sanjiv Kumar and Sharmila Tagore !

And a final swan song from Madan Mohan

Dil DHoondta Hai, phir wohi, fursat ke raat din, ....both versions
still evoke passions about an era gone by (and even more so after the release of Veer-Zaara, supposedly a tribute to Madan Mohan  )

The films by Gulzar/Hrishikesh Mukherjee released by DEI were produced by the Sippys. According to IMDB, Mausam was produced by P. Mallikharjuna Rao.

What a mess! I saw promo before opening credits that they are releasing MILLION DOLLAR BABY(sneer/chuckles) go figure! Then no chance of BEI ever doing this, the only hope is Shemaroo maybe? Mr.nath I remembered you're a Gulzar fan, so consider this as a treat for you! :P

Runtime of the Bollywood Films DVD is 137:13 - split into 3 segments on the DVD - 58:09 59:40 19:14 :o (according to the BBFC it's 135m 39s :? )

Apollo DVD runtime according to the BBFC is 139m 54s, not sure about the Eagle DVD.

I just watched the Bollywood Films DVD version, and it was a pretty good transfer. A bit dark, yes, but sharpness was sufficient. I had no problems watching the DVD. Also saw the film for the first time, and thought it was an absolutely great film! Recommended to watch the film on this DVD version.
