Shah Rukh fans can now get up close and personal with their idol. The Inner World of Shah Rukh Khan and The Outer World of Shah Rukh Khan, two documentary films by Nasreen Munni Kabir produced by Channel 4 and Red Chillies International respectively will be available to the public from October 4. Also, Star TV will screen the documentaries on November 2, Khan's 40th birthday.

The Inner World, shot largely during the making on Main Hoon Na, is a quiet glimpse into Khan's private world, his family, his emotions over the loss of his parents and his back problems.

The Outer World, on the other hand, follows Khan on his Temptations tour through the UK and North America and captures the adulation of his fans. Speaking on what stayed in and what came out of the Inner and Outer worlds, Khan quipped, "Andar ka underwear chhoot gaya, aur bahar ka media loot gaya."

Khan said he was pleased with the outcome of the film. "After I saw it I felt that my life is not bad and the film gives some idea about the simplicity of actors' lives. The film gave me the chance to talk to myself."

Considering they have captured intimate moments like him shaving or visiting his parents' grave in Delhi, was there any no-entry zone for the cameras? "I only requested that my camera-shy family not be covered too much. And they were respectful of that."

London based filmmaker and author Kabir described the experience, as, "When you make a documentary on someone, they must have complete trust in you. Shah Rukh had that trust, and when the films were complete he didn't ask for a single frame to be changed."

While the first film is 50 minutes, the second is 90 minutes long. Together, "they follow him in the here and now and capture the psychology of the person. As for Shah Rukh, I have never met anyone who lives in the moment as much as him," said Kabir.

SRK speaks On Gauri : I was 18 and she was 14 when we met. What I liked about her was that I didn't find it as difficult as I thought talking to a girl was.

On acting: For me, acting is very spiritual. It combines all sorts of soulful, religious and spiritual things that people do.

np du, but can u do me a favour? on the "outer world of srk" can u check if there is a vancouver section, where srk is comming out of the air port and there is a mob of people, i think it might be on dvd since there were a bunch of news cameras and there was one camera with a huge light on it and it didnt have any of the news channel sighns so it might be the documentry camera, it would be cool if its on there then i will buy the dvd if i am on it with my bro ( my bro didnt see srk in person b4 so had 2 go take him  )
