I would advise you to buy the latest videosound version which is the same as DEI. I saw a couple of them on ebay. But make sure from the seller that it is a DEI version.

The screenshots of the Video Sound version on page 1 look the worst from all 3. Is there more than one Video Sound version, or are you talking about that one?

There was some agreement (really dont know what) but the latest copies of VS version of HDDCS is the same as the DEI version.

I can post the shots from VS/DEI version. But, as I've never done before, I'm not sure how to upload. Can I just send them to UL or Ali via e-mail or do I have to follow the directions exactly like in the "how to capture screenshots" thread?

The DEI print showing up under VS is old news .. happened a while ago. VS had the rights, DEI came out with their own version, VS took it away from them and removed the DEI name replacing it with VS.

Thanks to Jeet for these screenshots!

Like I said DEI stole from VS, therefore VS stole their DVD!

Is it really an exact replica of DEI HDDCS??

Is VS willing or competent enough to give us original DEI HDDCS quality??

In the past, I have seen Video Sound original DVDs that really were 'reprocessed/ copied/ shrunk (reduced bit rate)/ altered audio (fake 5.1 from original 2.0 or 2.0 from original 5.1)' instead of exact replicas that even pirates can succeed in.

BTW, what's the total bits on VS dVD?? Then we can compare to total bits on DEI DVD??

:?

BTW, If you recall or check zulm HDDCS reviews, original VS release had better PQ in 'extras' as compared to DEI (as rights belonged to VS, VS supplied DEI the 'extras' what DEI copied from VS).
So, did VS used their own original extras or they used/ copied DEI's without realizing that VS's own extras disc was better??

May be Jeet can post some screen shots from Extras features too?

If it does come with Second Disc?

If the menues are of DEI disc too?

I've sent the shots to UL. The extra disc is exactly the same as in the original DEI version.

rana, I can't say for sure if this an exact replica of the DEI version. I didn't really have a chance to watch the DEI version as the disc kept feezing. So I can't confirm.

The sound is 5.1. I don't have the proper setup, but from what I can tell, it's pretty good.

Extras content was the same in DEI & VS but VS extras were better PQ than DEI's and hence should have used their own extras instead of DEI's.

See 'side-by-side screen shot comparison'
http://www.zulm.net/modules.php?op=modl ... 0e6b00d9e1

'making of feature has poor video - DEI'

'winning item over the DEI version the making of HDDCS is better quality - Video Sound'

it could be due to JPEG compression. someone with either of the discs do a bitrate comparison chart, please. I'd like to get the VS version if it's an exact replica of the DEI (Since DEI version is hard to find).

May be Jeet can check? if VS disc is Ripped DEI version, then it could be Dupe /replica or SL compressed?

Jeet can you check if SL or DL Disc?

dual layered, the extras are on SL disc.

I know that the videosound dvd had better pq for the extras, but this is the exact same DEI disc with inferior quality. Same menues, etc.

even if it's same menu's, what some of us here are concerned about is compression of the video/audio of the featured film.

one easy way to check if it's an EXACT 'replica' is through DVDDecrypter. Set the program to Rip to File Mode, and select "Movie Only" and see what the size in Bytes the total movie concludes to. I know there are some of you DEI owners of this disc, please do this. and Jeet, you too, please do this with your VS disc.

it should look something like this:
Image
it should highlight some files, whilst not highlighting others (movie only, no extras including menu's) if you guys can give a screen shot, even better :D

dankie

Can someone with original DEI version confirm this.
