The intermission in Kria's Kaante is when the 6 men get out of the bank, take their masks off, and slowly realize that the cops are there. AND THEN...is there too. The screen flashes white and the fast motion bank exit begins. (I just realized I could say its the same as the T-Series one, but i typed all that).

quality of the sound? its good...arsh bhai says "sanjay with good equipment you have and being in pal area, i'll recommend humbly to get pal r4, that I think was actualy r0?"...but it does say 5.1 Dolby Digital...its good sound. If you dont take my word for it (you really shouldn't..haha)...rent it or something. It gives 2 options for sound. the first one being the better one i think. i've never really worried about sound quality since it comes out pretty nice on a good system. hope i could answer the question. if not, then UL bhai, please help Sanjay man. :D [/quote]

songs indeed have subtitles but something i noticed while watching Kria's version was some "extra" scenes. NOTE: these arent really extra scenes...just scenes left out in the T-Series version??? theres the scene where we hear the dialouges we heard in the beginning when Lucky Ali is describing the characters again. Theres the scene when AB tells them to get guns...instead of showing the scene where they show AB guns it goes straight to the roof shootout. And finally the scene where Suniel Shetty goes to tell Mailaka Arora Khan to wait for him at the airport. When he leaves theres a scene where Dutt is talking to security outside (Quite a nice scene). If there are any more scenes i have missed please tell me. Does the R4 version cut any out? I have yet to buy it.

Thanx!!! :)

I am not a great expert for 5.1 but will say the bank robbery scene with the gun fire and explosions was pretty damn good 5.1. Seperation is evident and not panned to 5 speakers unlike indian dvds.

Kaante from Kria has a few seconds chopped off from where Sanjay Dutt shows team the tied up Mr Mcquarry.

Does anyone spot other cuts from Kria?

There's another Kaante DVD out now from Tip Top Entertainment;

No idea if its a re-package of one of the other releases.

just seen the 2 disker of the TTE release.
It is NON-ANARMOPHIC. pq seems quite good and is in decent dolby digital 5.1 sound.
Disk 2 is a waste of space though with literally a hundred trailers of the film itself.

TTE version is a rip off from Kria version, which also has a crappy 2nd disc.
But Kria WAS anarmorphic.

is there even a point to ask to post screenshots of the TTE version? i'm asking because jahangir79 states that pq seems good...now by good it could mean better than T-Series which we've established as anything but T-Series is better than T-Series...or it's better than Kria. just wondering. thanks.

This DVD SANJAY BHAII, has THE WORST EVER SOUND for a NEW FILM, no DD no 5.1 some thing CRAPPY STEREO!

Thanks for the warning Arsh bhai, but does this mean there is no Kaante DVD with proper 5.1 sound available anywhere? Also if the sound is as bad as you say, then how come the company that put out this DVD is making it out to be as god's gift to Hindi DVD audiences?

You are RIGHT, I only EXPECT, that their will be a PAL to NTSC R1 Edition sooner or laterz!!

KAANTE with OAR/ANAMORPHIC and a DD 5.1 TRACK, would have been DIVINE!

http://www.filmframe.com/2005/07/kaante-is-not-in-digital.htm

Was Kaante ever released in 5.1? I remember seeing it in theater in DD 2.0. Sanjay did you see this in cinema? Was it in DD 5.1 or DTS? I suspect the prints might have been released in Dolby Stereo and DTS but not in Dolby Digital. A few years back this is how Indian movies used to shown in cinema. But somehow Real Image(DTS) doesn't have the movie on their list too.

Since DTS mixes are not used on dvd anyway, it makes no different. If someone seen this in 5.1, most likely saw it in DTS.

Did anyone catch this movie in 5.1 even at the cinema? I've never seen the film with decent sound before. I watched the Aussie DVD and the sound was terrible, apparently sourced from an optical 2.0 track. I had the same bad optical sound in a Singapore cinema.
