Thanks Dragun!! The CD is available in stores!! I have to wait mine from our DU's house!!

I did listen once, album is mostly situational and Good, as usual, two devotional numbers that can possibly added to any film are there!

Holi one even resembling Swades and Lagan, AR tries to try his best to make it stand out differently by using different arrangements!

Kavita's number seems a Mujra number? is fabulous, very fresh composition..

Now my GRIPE! :?:   Rasiya...is too Southish, like old Rehman's Tamil songs, he tries very very hard to rehash it with classical arrangements but does not quite succeeds in that!!

It is no Zubaida, No Swades, No Lagan, either..it is no BOSE!! Different album altogether!! and thats What matters in the END!

Thanks for the uploads.

Have had a listen through, I think the songs get better with each listen, but looking forward to see how the title track & Main Vari Vari are picturised.

Bring on the 12th Of August, the Up-Rising has began!!!

Its my current favorite of the album. Much better than Ishq Ki Dastaan from Taj Mahal. And Reena Bharadwaj sounds good too, even though she only has that one line. I wish more MDs would use her!

The title track has me hypnotized. In the words of Thurston Howell III, "it's absolutely marrrvelous".

I agree!! Ishq ki Dastan was not of her calibre!!

Vari Vari is such a NOVEL Mujra composition..Bravo!! AR could easily deflect towards Devdas or Kisna style, but now!!It reminds me the way AR gave a new dimension to ghazal singing in TEHZEEB!

He brings out his own Original version, using chorus in a very novel style, it seems like some one tried to go Mughl e azam in his own, better, greater way!

Re Rasiya!! It is a GOOD Sensual number, but I could not atay away from feeling a lot of Tamil/South, AR own old overhang in here!!
I did like the Blend with Classical arrangements though!

AR never defaults using the most suitable singers!

Javed Akhtar is VERY COMPETENT too!!
