Jism will be released (in July) by Imagine Entertainment. Their effort is to popularize "popular" indian movies to american audiances. I wonder why they choosed Jism. Probably with the songs and other stuffs, they wont be able to identify the original english movie!

Suggested Retail Price: $20!
Weg DVD: $6

Ordered this too from Futureshop.ca ($21.99 CAD +taxes and free shipping) here in Canada and its says that it releases July 19th 2005 .. underneath it says DVD released July 12th 2005.

Here are the specs from Futureshop.ca:
    DVD Features:

    Encoding: Region 1
    Package Type: Keep Case
Aspect Ratio: Anamorphic Widescreen - 16:9
    Audio:
    Dolby Digital 5.1 - Hindi
Dolby Digital Stereo 2.0 - Hindi
    Subtitles - English

Now some of this info may be incorrect as Futureshop.ca uses templates and sometimes copies from other dvd movies.

Here are screenshots from the Image release to compare with the WEG DVD...

The print is taken from the same source as WEG's, so not much change except for slightly more vibrant colours and better sharpness. Still interlaced. The 5.1 track is excellent - much better than the 2.0 audio on the WEG DVD, which is also included for some reason.

Looks like same transfer to me! Sound was DOLBY SURROUND but pretty dynamic in WEG! So hopefuly DD 5.1 is better!

It is still not proper PROG transfer!

Well!! From Jism to Body! :x

Only diff is the wider aspect ratio. Quality is still bad. "Jism" is the word to describe this release  :P

30 FPS with every 4th frame repeated - same as the WEG DVD.
