Has anyone seend the Videosound version of Fiza- is it any good- I have seen the dei one which is excellent but they only offer the VS One on IW- any screenshots? or reviews

Insist on DEI version and you will get it. DEI version is really better. DEI version of FIZA was the first ever Indian DVD reviewed in the most acclaimed Widescreen review magazine. Lagaan and FIZA are the only 2 Indian DVDs reviewed so far in Widescreen review.

I received the Video Sound version of Fiza yesterday and watched it last night. The case's spindle was broken so the disc slipped around in the case, resulting in several scratches. I found that there were an awful lot of "artifacts" in the picture and it would randomly stop or skip, particularly near the end of the movie. I can't say for sure if the "stop or skipping" was related to the scratches or possibly the disc transfer. I heard there is a better version on DEI. However, I haven't found it yet. Although, the one CDGuru carries may be the DEI version. I haven't confirmed that yet. BTW, Fiza is a very good movie and the soundtrack is excellent too.

Its not a DEI version per sé. But It has been authored by DEI. The rights holders being SPARK worldwide and INDIAWEEKLY / IndianCdstore does have that version also. All you have to do is call them up and tell them u need the DEI (authored) version and not the Videosound version

Sknath, okay thanks for the info. I had purchased the Video Sound version that I now have from http://www.indiancdstore.com and sent them an email earlier asking whether they could get the Spark/DEI version. I haven't heard back yet. Guess I will call to verify.

I got the videosound Fiza, I think its OK, but reading the review, I think I should have bought the other one.

When will you guys learn to stop supporting crap companies like Video Sound. It is because people continue to buy their crap that they keep feeding it to us.
I can to some extent understand when the film is only available on their label and therefore there is no choice. But when there is a better available version of the same film from another, much better company, why would you settle for the Video Sound crap?

Sanjay, I just got in to Indian DVD's a few weeks ago after I watched Lagaan. So, I am not familiar with the quality of the dvd labels that Indian films are on. I am learning, though. :alien:

I guess newbies cannot be blamed for not knowing the differences amongst various companies. But what really apalls me is those that just don't want to even bother themselves with finding out the difference. The attitude is almost as if these companies are doing us a favor by just putting out the product, so what if it's crap.

With regards to Fiza, like I said I did not know at the time of purchase what quality of DVD I might get ( it was one of my first purchase on the web).

i have the video sound version for sometime now and watched it a few times pirate or not this dvd is good comparing to some of the shit dei is putting out now i am quite happy with it i know sknath will blow me open for saying so but no excuses i said it and will recomend this version.
