I have sent this email to eros..and everyone I know has done the same..Please join me in not accepting mediocrity...Then only things will change.

Dear Eros Entertainment,

I am very sad to be writing this email to you. I recently bought the Lucky DVD and I was shocked to see Salman Khan's name spelled as "Salman Khans" and Sneha Ullal as "Neha Ullal."

How can you butcher this and call yourself the best indian entertainment company??

Morever, the pathetic promotion of your ring tones during songs is another low that EROS Entertainment has achieved.

Can you imagine if Warner Brothers did the same on one of their DVDs? NO because they are professionals and You need to produce a profesional product.

I thought by buying a genuine DVD, I was doing a service to the artists & even to your company, however, Piracy is alive because of products like yours being produced without any sort of Quality Assurance.

I am so sad that I bought this DVD. I am going to make sure I do not buy any of Eros Entertrainment DVDs even if I have to buy Pirates.

I hope this message gets to the president of your company.

Its a shame. Its a sad day in Eros Entertainment's history.

With Regards,
XXXXX

they don't reply many emails regarding orders as talked about in retailers forum section, I don't expect any reply on this, but if they do - they will just keep it verbal nothing practical.

Mr Madan used to respond if you leave a voice mail. Infact we had a heated arguments over how they distribute Eros DVD in NJ and finally I was able to get Eros at reasonable price, but now since he left, it is back to square one.

Now I heard a SHOCKING news. The Ad that you see when you insert the disc, which you cant skip / forward... yeah what about it... is going to come in between the movies also. So its like watching the movie in TV. In TV atleast the Ads are nice and sometime giving us a break during a boring movie, but here you will end up watching "Tilda Basmati" ad while watching a movie... Its hard for me to even digest this. its like who is going to tie the bell to the cat... everyone has this idea in mind and waiting for someone to take the first step (I am sure it will be Eros since they try to be "inventive". They will probably start with Ad for their other DVDs to begin with so it wont be a shocking to you and probably be enjoyable since they will insert some new/upcoming trailers, but will eventually convert to Basmati Rice and MTR Chikken Masala later.

I can digest adverts IFF:

1) Encoding is back to original DEI-EROS days (Progressive) plus anamorphic and DD 5.1 (mono for mono films).
2) In between film segments is fine but not along with the feature.
3) They have to be fast forward-able.

---------------------------

I wonder, if right holders can beat the pirates this way??
It is understandable, right holders can not compete with pirate prices running around $3 - $5 Cdn while right holder's 'rights-cost' itself average out to more than $5.

-------------------------------

IFF is math short form for 'IF AND ONLY IF'.

Reply from Eros

Dear Jimboy:

Thank you kindly for your letter. We know our DVDs stink. However, its inexpensive, and there are a lot of bakras who buy our DVDs, so we will keep on doing what we do. We already got your money for Lucky, so ha!

Sincerely,

Kishore "Cash-whore" Lulla
Managing Director, Eros International
