Never knew Bimal Roy directed a movie called PREM PATRA! How is this movie? And if you experienced the DVD, how's the quality? :)

Bimal Roy films are all classic, slow, gripping. Bandini, Devdas, Do Bigha Zamin, Parakh (song:Tadpaoge Tadpaa Lo??), Sujata, Madhumati etc.
Prem Patra should be no exception. Plus, there is Sadhna, most likely in a non-glamourous role, like Gaban??
BTW, IW listing shows Samraat cover for it's Shemaroo listing. Samraat cover has very glamurous Sadhna from RajKumar

Parakh - just picked up this DVD on the weekend. Very good film - the DVD isn't the best quality - but the film is very good. The songs ... O Sajana Barkha Bahar Aayi, Mila Hai Kisika Jhumka, Yeh Bansi Kyu Gaaye and a couple of others. No Tadpaoge Tadpaa Lo ...

Prem Patra: I haven't seen it but the story sounds very engaging. I have the CD of this movie a couple of songs are good but not all.

I wasn't too sure if that song was from Parakh. The song is from a similar genere film of that time. B/W when color was just around the corner.

Any song Gurus; which film is that song from??

Tadpaoge Tadpa Lo
Hum Tadap Tadap Kar Bhi Tumhare Geet Gaayenge

Thanks.

Someone told me that the song is from AVM's BARKHA, but he wasn't 100% sure.
It seems right to me. Parakgh and Barkha are similar names. AVM and Bimal Roy, both are big names of that era.

Any confirmation, if the song really is from Barkha??
