I think maybe the way SRK is holding onto Preity Zinta it sort of reminds me of DDLJ:

I think they've just taken another picture and just pasted the head from that. It's not very smooth by the neck area.

The speculation on Yash Chopra's next film, right from its title to theme to treatment is rising by the day thanks to Yash Raj Films tightlipped policies. Though there is no confirmation, there is tremendous buzz in the industry on the movie.

And if the buzz is to be believed the film opens with Shahrukh Khan sporting a beard in a Pakistani prison who has not uttered a word for the past few years since he has been jailed. Rani Mukherjee who plays a human rights activist (based on the character of well-known Pakistani lawyer Asma Jehangir) wants to help Shahrukh Khan from his quandary. And Rani succeeds in making Shahrukh speak out his story that opens in flashback.

Shahrukh is an Indian pilot who saves Preity Zinta's life in a bus accident. Preity is a Pakistani woman who comes to India to immerse the ashes of her caretaker (who has brought her up with much love and affection) in the Ganga, without telling her parents. After the initial tiffs, Shahrukh and Preity eventually become close friends and fall in love. Shahrukh also takes Preity on a trip to Punjab and finally escorts her back to the border where he meets her fiancée Manoj Bajpai.

Subsequently, Shahrukh is arrested for some reason in Pakistan and decides to remain mute over the case until Rani comes to her rescue. The climax drama is in a courtroom where Shahrukh speaks out the truth. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in guest roles as Shahrukh's grandparents with a song and a scene each in the film.

Last but not the least, the buzz is that the movie title doesn't have any Dil, Vil, Pyar, Vyar in it, but is named as 'Veer Dara'. The best option is to wait till this Friday, August 27, when the trailers will release on the big screen with the release of Dhoom.

Yash Chopra's next is not titled Veer Dara

By IndiaFM News Bureau, August 23rd, 2004 - 1345 hrs IST

The speculation on Yash Chopra's next film, right from its title to theme to treatment is rising by the day keeping in Yash Raj's tradition of grand mystique. The latest rumor making rounds of the industry is that the movie is titled Veer Dara. But this is far from true. The Chopras have planned a grand launch of the title of their highly anticipated film and as per reliable sources it is anything but Veer Dara. Stay tuned and we will reveal you the real title of the film very soon.

The film is very close to Yashji's heart and from what we hear is probably the biggest and the most magnificent project to have come out of the Yash Raj stable till now and has all the makings to be the biggest blockbuster.

It is actually titled "Veer Zaara" and if you want my opinion it has got to be one of the lamest titles I have heard in a long time. After all the hype and suspense, Khoda pahad aur chooha bhi nahi nikla.

Final confirmed title of Yash Chopra's next

By IndiaFM News Bureau, August 26th, 2004 - 1100 hrs IST

The cat is finally out of the bag now. Yash Chopra's next big venture that had been talked about for almost a year now without a title, finally strikes with a name. And the much anticipated movie title is… 'Veer-Zaara'. And yes, the news is confirmed for sure!

Going by the name it seems like, 'Veer' refers to Shahrukh's name in the film while 'Zaara' is Preity Zinta with the former playing an Indian pilot while the latter cast as a Pakistani girl in the film.

More news on the film follows very soon. Stay tuned![/i]
