Ivory Merchant's Shakespeare Wallah, starring Shashi Kapoor, has just started on Bravo TV.

A few questions:

1) Female lead is Felicity Kendall. I think, Jennifer Kendall (Heroine in Bombay Talkie) became Shashi Kapoor's real life wife. Is there any relation bet Felicity and Jennifer??

2) This 1965 film also has Madhur Jafry in it. Is this Madhur Jafry the same who recently was in a major role in Cotton Marry??

Rana

BTW, it does have a proper NTSC Cine-tel transfer. i.e. every 5th frame is a repeated frame as it should be. No geniuses at work here, who prefer field averaging.

.. tried watching Bombay Talkie, fell asleep of boredom half way through the movie :? But one of the best DVD transfers I’ve seen of an old movie.

I didn't expect any less from a company like Criterion.
