"Darr" means fear and fear beats in every lover's heart. Fear that your love may not be reciprocated; fear that you lose the one you love and fear that your beloved could have a change of heart. In short, fear is the villain in every love story. But in Yash Chopra's "Darr" fear is the ultimate expression of passion, obsession and sacrifice.

"Darr" is Rahul's (Shah Rukh Khan) story whose love and obsession for Kiran (Juhi Chawla) frees him from all fears of life and death. "Darr" is Sunil's (Sunny Deol) story, whose enduring love and passion for Kiran gives him the courage to face the fear of death. And finally "Darr" is Kiran's story, caught between one man's love and another man's obsession. She fears one and fears for the other. One stands for love and the other for life. Who will be the victor in this battle between love and life?

"Darr" won the National award for Best Film in 1993 and is well remembered for Shah Rukh Khan's mesmerizing performance. Shiv-Hari composed the haunting melodies of Darr, including "Jaadu Teri Nazar" and "Tu Mere Samne".

Obviously on Zulm.net :P ...but no one is going to shell out $20US or $40 Canadian for this DVD as the DEI version is very adequate if you can still find it.

If it's Field Averaged Anamorphic, as expected,
No way, a Field Averaged encoding can beat a Progressive encoding even if Field Averaged one is Anamorphic and other one is not.

No, I myself have not seen the DVD (Meenaxi) yet. But look at other posts, where the most critical zulmi with eagle eye has praised it.
Vivid DVD. Visual Delight. Perfactly framed. 1.85:1 OAR and anamorphic.
And I believe, it's Prog too.
