Is this better than the apollo version, that was selling before. I have that version and that is from a VHS source. This one doesn't look any better either but is hard to tell if it's the same as the Apollo version.

Yeh I know I'm was generous. 2/10 then No doubt IW will claim a lot of effort have gone into, I’m sure someone must have sweated blood over copying this VHS onto DVD

is it just me, or is there really no significant difference between the two set of screenshots..I see a minor difference, colors seem washed out in both versions....

IndiaWeekly's (which I own) seems marginally better, but neither is an acceptable DVD. The only thing I'll grant the release is that it has decent clarity, and audible sound. The colors, though, are murky, the image isn't so sharp as it ought to be, and I'm quite sure that the movie is heavily cropped at the sides. Any film deserves a better DVD release than this, and Aakhree Raasta — being one of the greatest films ever — deserves something more than a notch above "acceptable."
