So if this DVD does come to Canada/US expect another PAL2NTSC transfer ala Asoka :x

I don't think that such an edition will be release. cause, as far as I know, no French image transfert of a film that is not French has been sold to another DVD company. But I'm really not sure about that.
Also : One must know that Diaphana is just starting releasing DVD. On their website is written that they just creat their "Video Edition Department" and that Devdas is their first release.

The problems with the Eros dvd are endless...but the sound was quite good. How's the sound for the Diaphana version? The video looks good but I think it's not perfect enough for me to buy another Devdas.

The Hindi 5.1 Dolby Digital is simply perfect.

Arsh Bhai I have the 3 disc eros version that was released about 2 months ago in the UK, it comes in a pretty neat digipack.......but the discs are exactly the same as the 1 disc version and the 2 disc versions. It's the same print again, pixelated to hell, don't bother with it. Unless you really really want an english dubb version which is shorter then the Indian version anyway.

Ahem, has anybody noticed that 3 of the songs are missing from the menu???

Hmmm, I went on the diaphana website too (or whatever the link is) and saw a shot that I'd never seen before in the movie. It's an overhead one from when Paro is singing Silsila Yeh Chaahat Ka. I've seen the movie enough times to notice that I'd never seen it before. Something tells me this version aint quite the one we've all seen...

Hi Fred,

I've read you're review. My question is: Is the song Woh Chand Jaisi Ladki in the movie ? Cause it isn't in the Eros version !

Thanks.

The navigation menus and animations are also very well done, especially for the chapter and song selection that are presented like a fan. (By the way 3 songs are missing on the song selection menu: Woh Chand Jaisi Ladki, Bairi Piya and Hamesha Tumko Chaha. But there're not missing in the movie).

are u sure u read the review Snakeye?

Vjmajic2002 ,

yes I've read the review & I also read the quote. I want to know if the song is really in the movie. If yes, then I'll order a copy at Amazon.fr.
