Yep! Also wear in some scenes, along with inconsistent colors.

Point well taken, however it's more pronounced with this dvd, and more so than any other DEI/BEI I have seen so far. :D

There was also at least three or four breaks in the dvd, could be the way it was transferred, or and I hope I am wrong, signs of freezing! I ran the scenes again where it occured and it still happened. At that point I could not discern any pixellation

Inconsistent colors, wear on the print and DNR galore. The wear in the print is expected given the horrible state of old movie prints.

I think they did a fair a job, if only, they refrain from excessive use of DNR. In the opening scene is where you dectect some of the wear, spots and some popping sounds then it gets progressively better until you come to the first break as I have mentioned earlier. The most annoying thing is the motion sickness. In scenes where no motion occurs is where you can see and appreciate the extent of restoration , it's fantastic and this kind of result can only be achieved by BEI or Hollywood authors.

sknath,
I will take another look at it in about a week :D

After a long long time, I saw a good progressive Indian DVD. It was BEI Parvarish.

As far as screen shot comparison, only the first shot seems to be more colorful and with brilliant colors in Shemaroo DVD. All other screen caps, BEI is better.

I wish if BEI's progressive authoring and Shemaroo's brilliant colors can be combined into one??
