Here are some screen shots of a Taal Pirated DVD. Per Power DVD it has 5.1 448kbps Sound. Picture, cropper but still imho is pretty good.

Michael Hafner reviewed this DVD on Zulm's main page here is a comparison shot. If you look closely there is more picture on the top and bottom in the pirated DVD even though it is cropped from the sides.

I also have a pirate dvd of Taal. But, this one is way better. The one i have, the cover has a picture of aish, the same picture on the song menu of this dvd. And, its just a simple menu with "play movie" option and lot links to songs, (on the same menu). And, the picture quality is very bad, worse than vhs, and 2ch sound. Does anyone else have this disc? however, I'm thinking of getting the eros one though.

I have this DVD. At least, the cover art is the same as you posted it.

But, mine is interlaced??

Are you sure, yours is Progressive??

CORRECTION:
When I compared the art work on the cover and on picture on the disc, I find that although the cover art in my DVD is the same (faded though) but the picture on the disc is slightly but distinctly different.

Also the menu is totally different.

It appears that urbanlegend's copy, in deed, is progressive where as my copy is a copy of that pirate disc.

Does any one? has EROS ORIG TAAL RELEASE, with out extra song, NON ANAMORPHIC?

dav1972 has one EROS non-anamorphic TAAL DVD. Some speculated that it's a pirate, but his disc has all the EROS markings on the inner ring.

Not only PQ of this Pirate Progressive is better, it is also remarkable how much has been cut from the top and from the bottom in the EROS widescreen version.

I think, rana, we have to have all 3 versions, to get the best of all worlds!!

EROS..isProg, anamorphic, good sound, but murky details, edge enhancement.

Shemaroo..Interlaced, good details, Color, not much noise, but CROPPED!

PIRATE..PROG, CROPPED, pretty damn noisy picture!

German label REM have brought out a new DVD of Taal that looks to be the best of the lot. Colours are similar to the Shemaroo release, but the video is OAR anamorphic. Sharpness is about the same. Audio is an excellent 5.1 Dolby Digital track.
