RE ABOVE HAS ANYONE BEEN 'SHAFTED' BY CUSTOMS WHEN BUYING FROM SAY - INDIA WEEKLY/INDIAN CD STORE ETC???

WOT HAPPENED AND DID U GET YOUR DVDS AND HOW LATE WERE THEY???

Although i have not been 'shafted' as you so sweetly put it :0

If the package contents cost over £18 and you are unlucky enough to have your package opened then various thigns can happen. You might get charged a excess charge (which I think varies) plus admin charges (any which way to bleed you dry) and if you dont pay they'll keep your product!

i once ordered from indiaweekly when that was the only source of indian DVDs... and i got charged customs on 2 DVDs which if i remembre correctly i paid approx £15...

Once i ordered 12 dvds from indiaweekly and got shafted £30 by custom wale

I hae now realised 5 is the maximum amount of dvds you can order before custom wale do you.....

HOW DO CUSTOMS ACTUALLY DO U AND IS IT CUSTOMS IN US OR UK :0 :0 . ALSO HOW DO CUSTOMS GET IN TOUCH WITH U - DO THEY WRITE TO U OR :0 :0 ???

I ONCE ORDERED 7 DVDS FROM INDIANCDSTORE.COM AND LUCKILY I GOT AWAY WITH NO CHARGES BY CUSTOMS - I WAS TOLD BY SANDISH TO NOT GO ABOVE 4 DVDS!!!

I have order from Indiancdstore before and had no problems, but Indiaplaza ripped me off on the exchange rate ( this is before I knew Zulm net) I know better now not to even deal with those guy's even if they are offering free DVD's.

Shame on you Minesh...how dare you commit sacrilege by insulting Indiaplaza.com; the only site which offers you DDLJ for $29 USD; the only site which gives you a Free cd with that DVD and the only site which gives you free US shipping with that DVD; the only site which gives you factory fresh DVDs...and the only site which some esteemed members here cant live without and who get "worked up" if wretched souls (like me) say something abt it !.

Sof if you dont want to be disgraced abandon all the other e-tailers and go back to good old Indiaplaza..at least you will know your DVDs are FACTORY FRESH :p

it sucks that indiaplaza closed the UK store. atleast RANJ can buy from them and would not had to worry about being shafted

after-all it is smarter to pay $10 bucks more than to pay for $2 for being shafted.

JUST TO LET U ALL KNOW THAT I PICKED UP MY PARCELS FROM INDIANCDSTORE YESTERDAY AND NO FLIPPIN LAGAAN [ TAXES I MEAN] D: D: D:

APPARENTLY THE DELAY WAS DUE TO me not being around when the parcels were delivered on both occassions and as a result a card was dropped by the postie so i had to pick them up from the local sorting office - Thank god i never got SHAFTED!! by customs - Overall i am a very happy chappie!!!

Skanth what can I say, I just had to get it off my chest. As for UK Indiaplaza office, I did order from the UK Office and still got ripped off. Hey but that's my story I am sure everyone has there own view on Indianplaza.
