here's a first look from KAANTE, its doesn't expose too much, but it does look like a pic taken during the sets of the film. And its the very first of its kind that i've seen.

It's ripped from Rediff under there discussion of most awaited films of 2002. And which BTW according to them, Devdas is the #1 awaited film of 2002.

Oh no, here comes Predator, thinking he is all cool. ??? If you dont have anything interesting to say Predator then shut up. The thread is about the movie Kaante not about you trying to act tough. :sly:

Actually, I've read somewhere that 20th Century Fox is interested in buying Kaante's overseas film rights (i think it was ali who posted such information). And if this is true, Kaante could turn out to be a great DVD experience. I liked what 20th Century Fox have done with the Die Hard 2: Die Harder DVD, its excellent.

Yep that news was on http://www.sanjay-dutt.com/, look under forthcoming movies->Kaante;

"Twentieth Century Fox is showing a very keen interest in the film for worldwide exploitation. While negotiations are on with a couple of corporates (including a Hollywood production company) to co-produce the film, Sanjay Gupta has already concluded deals for music, overseas and all non-theatrical rights with Zee."

..although this news was while back. With so many Hollywood links with this movie the DVD will hopefully get a proper R1 release.

Hmmm...Logical reasoning for your GRE exams !

GADAR : ZEE : Videosound :: Kaante : ZEE : ?? any marks for guessing who will be getting the DVD rights :D

I wouldn't be too optimistic about anything by Sanjay Gupta. He's always full aspirations but comes up with stuff like "Jung". IMO, Jung was one of the most poorly made films in the year it was made. Still, I'm hoping this will be different.

Well, in my opinion, if anything that does look really promising from Kaante is Anurag Kashyap's screenplay & dialogues. Anurag Kashyap is one of the most talented writers bollywood has had in reccent times, he had written for Satya, Mission Kashmir, Kaun? and Shool. All of which were powerful depicted films. Even his own directorial debut PAANCH looks really unique and promising. And I wouldn't be too surprised if Anurag Kashyap's screenplay & dialogues stand out the most in the content of Kaante's success(if any).
