An excellent movie at the time (1990), with a great starcast - Vinod Khanna, Madhuri Dixit, Govinda, Amjad Khan, Aditya Pancholi, Sonu Walia, Shaheen, Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Kiran Kumar.

Probably one of Mukul Anand's (Agneepath, Hum, Insaaf, Khudha Gawah) best and most entertaining movies.

Songs by Anand Milind were nice.

It must have had good songs - I bought the tape (in the good old days when cassettes used to cost Rs 20 each!)

Whatever happened to that movie, Jai Shiv Shankar ??? I looking forward to that movie when I was young, it looked like a good movie from the commercials. Typical Drama/Action type with the then famous Jeetendra.

RAJESH KHANNA's JAI SHIV SHANKAR was seized by the GOVERNMENT in 1991 due to tax evasion by KHANNA. The reels lie in the cans of some government office in MUMBAI. The film never released, check any video store's index and you will not find it anywhere. The audio released on WESTON way back in 1990 though and trailers for the film aired for about a year and then stopped.
