1:- Scan Indiaplaza.com to see if it has arrived

2:- Then go to Indiaweekly.com and salivate at the price

3:- Think twice and postpone the purchase for a couple of weeks

4:- Voila IW has reduced the price !!! But hey is that the end ?

5:- Nope, there can still be a better deal...(at least here in Canada!), Blockbuster might place a few of them on the USED DVDs section... and they generally range from $14.99 - $19.99 (Canadian).... That would be the ultimate place to buy the DVD !!!!

Hence folks after a lot of contemplation I think I will buy this DVD once it comes out in the used DVD section..with a small clientale I think I may be able to get hold of one !

(Hey I did get Gladiator for 19.99 Canadian when the retail price for the new one was.... 33.99 Canadian !) :D

Lol, that was pretty funny.

Here is how Rishi (Me) bought his copy of Lagaan:
-Found out it was officially in stores on January 22nd.
-Realized that 1/22 was a Tuesday and had to wait till the weekend
-Looked all over for info and reviews on dvd.
-Kept searching for international info on Lagaan
-Read reviews by the international review on Lagaan
-Posted some propaganda about Lagaan for Americans to read.
-Printed some flyers out to get out the word about Lagaan
-Called a few American stores (Blockbuster, Tower, etc.) to see how many copies of Lagaan were in stock
-Visited local Blockbuster with the sole intention of seeing them displayed on the shelves.
-Smiled at Columbia Tristar's wonderful distribution
-Prepared to buy dvd on Friday
-Compared prices with a few places. Found Lagaan for $17.99 at Indian stores. Found Lagaan for $27.99 at Tower Records (American store)
-Realized that his friend worked at Tower and could get him an employee discount
-Found out the final price for Lagaan would be $20 at Tower.
-Realized that buying Lagaan from an Indian store would have to wait till Saturday.
-Went to Tower at 4:30 on Friday afternoon.
-Bought last remaining copy of Lagaan
-Got the employee discount.
-Walked out content, realizing that he paid $2 more for his dvd solely for the bragging rights and increased pride in India and Bollywood.

We should buy Lagaan from the mainstream stores, because enhanced sales will encourage them for carrying more Indian DVDs. Atleast the ones released by non Indian companies like Metrodome, Columbia etc. Also we all need to encourage our friends and family to buy Lagaan, because if the DVD sells well then Columbia might be encouraged to release Mission Kashmir and maybe even acquire more rights of Indian films if they see that they can make money on the DVD releases. Remember guys each title released by Columbia is one less title which will be raped and mutiliated by 'Video Sound, Eros, YRF etc)
