watched the dvd a couple of days ago...
same ol crapiola...
look at that "colorful" song w/ preity zinta and anil kapoor... even on an analog TV, you can see "rainbows" along the edges of objects/people....

oh well, it's not like the flick was any good... yes, sync sound is always good, but not when it's wasted on a sub-par movie... not terrible, but just.. "eh".

Armaan DVD shots - thanks as usual to Arsh to getting these - looks like another Eros blunder job :fight: :bangbang:

Just saw the dvd myself and it's even worse than the Eros standard. The picture is very dark, even darker than previous releases and colors are absolutely lifeless. Thankfully, the film is pretty crap too; so at least they didn't screw a good film.

could you expect any less when her son has discovered the magic of a performance caught in sync sound?

sigh.. i hope farhan akhtar doesn't prove to be a one hit wonder...

Her son has nothing to do with how she directs...that is like Aby Baby is directly responsible for Abhishek Bachchan's bad acting

sigh.. i wasn't knocking her directing... Though saying Farhan had nothing to do with her deciding to use sync sound is doubtable in my opinion. THe production followed the same professional production as used by Dil Chahta Hai.

Judging from the shots, the cinematography looks excellent...

Why can't Eros do a simple thing like time encoding the DVD? Not just with this one, but with many of their other titles it is the same way, no time encoding.

When I'm watching a 150 minute film and have to stop it, I'd like to know where I stopped it. It doesn't even tell you what chapter you are watching.

The Eros logos before the film are time encoded, but not the film itself.

Thanks to Arsh for sending in the shots of this song from Armaan which is not included on the original ERO$ disc but is included the Chalte Chalte - Top Hits DVD released by T-Series.
