I have the Jodi No.1 EROS DVD starring Govinda and Sanjay Dutt and while it worked the first time I played it, I played it again recently and it just freezes towards the end. The whole movie is not watchable after a certain point, it just freezes, plays a few seconds, freezes, plays a few seconds, and so on. In other words this disc is majorly screwed up.

A friend of mine rented the Jodi No.1 DVD from a rental store since he couldn't borrow it from me and that disc refused to play, it just said "DISC IS DIRTY" when the disc was okay. He has a top of the line Sony Progressive Scan DVD player. Since I got my Jodi No.1 DVD from indiaweekly almost six months ago, I can't really return it. Is this problem present on all Jodi No.1 DVDs? Does this mean Jodi No.1 on DVD doesn't exist as of now? Not that its a big loss since the movie is only good for the great one liners by Govinda/Dutt like the recent EAEG.

You beat me to it Khaira.

I noticed the same when someone asked me if I wanted the better UK version of this disc. In checking to see if it's worth buying a better version, I found that the disc doesn't play in layer #2.

Like VS DVDs, this disc had the markings of Nobel Prize candidate, for limited viewing discs, MEDIA DIMENSIONS.
NO WONDER.
