MAHESH BHATT WARNS BUSH

Mahesh Bhatt, a renowned director and producer of Bollywood, is excited with, "The sum and substance of the incredible response in personal letters and phone calls I received regarding my letter of refusal to attend a prayer breakfast seminar with the United States President George W. Bush. This response, as well as countless "letters to the editor," came from people from all over the world - America, England, Australia and many other countries - and they were not just from Muslims. People expressed gratitude that I had the "guts to call a spade a spade" and that I had spoken for all of them. I feel it is important for the world to know what perhaps is in store for it."

He adds, "Nobody can hammer this sense into the heads of the American leadership that this gruesome gangsterism, this barbarous and monstrous warmongering has to stop. If the US is erased from the face of this planet, nothing will be lost to mankind, but they will not go gracefully or retire in the background. They will take the whole world with them".

Referring to the Tibetan science Psychometry, he says, "It has predicted and believes will come true: that there will be total chaos in the world, and that the head of the most powerful country in the world will be killed - the one which laid the foundation for the complete and total destruction of not just all human beings but every form of life on this planet. The prediction also said that the head of that country would be assassinated on one Wednesday soon.

"There is this certain feeling that the so-called terrorists are going to blow up all the oil resources of the world. The nature of what it is going to be like will be experienced by the US first. There is also an apprehension that terrorists are going to blow up all gas stations and make sure every mode of transportation that depends on oil ends up in the junkyard. Please don't underestimate the means they have at their disposal."

Bhatt laments, "This is not bluff and bluster. The possibility of a war with Iraq could unleash acts of anti-American violence in the US or elsewhere by individual extremists who do not belong to the Al Qaeda or other West Asian terrorist groups but sympathize with their grievances.

"The Americans' trust in God to see them through this is like the belief they have had for decades that their dollar is "almighty" and not the banana republic currency it is today". Bhatt concludes.

good to see some one from bollywood speak out even though it will make no difference as US are intent on war.

They are so intent on war that it is reported that they have started to award construction contracts to US firms for when they put their US marshal into place.

Seeing as they are using UN resolutions to stroke up the need for war it should be a UN administration put in place when Saddam is deposed. But Bush and his stooges (most with links to oil industry) want to give oil fields to US companies.

It is a shame that Saudis etc dont tell the US to fck off because after they have taken Iraq they will turn their sight to other oil rich nations in the region.

there are a lot of reasons to be against the war. but the ones above aren't valid. you do the anti-war cause a disservice when you use poorly researched arguments.

the hundreds of millions of dollars in oil contracts that the french and russians and germans have struck with hussein over the past year is the main reason they DON'T want war. and that contract with halliburton is not for taking the oil but for rebuilding the infrastructure in the areas that hussein wrecked in 1991. as for mahesh bhatt, i wish the man would spend more time on his films and less shooting off his mouth about everything under the sun. let vajpayee step up to the plate for once.

They were not actually reasons for not going to war but merely stating that despite the UN not authorising war (therefore if war starts without a resolution it is against the UN charter) the US was already awarding contracts to US companies.

I know there are more sinister reasons for starting the war and I could write about the Wolfowitz cabal etc but this is a forum for bollywood not politics, hence why my original posting was short on detail.

I am not anti war as the Iraqi regime is bad but then again so are the rest of the regimes in the region and so were the regimes thew US imposed in South American countries ! But will the US imposed regime be any better ? It is well known that the Iraqi opposition supported by Washington has no support in Iraq. In fact one of the so called opposition leaders is reported to be wanted in Jordan for fraud.

As for French and Russian contracts the Russian contract has been cancelled and the French company has not signed up for many fields. The contracts were not for hundreds of millions but several billion dollars so please do better research before posting inaccurate statements.

The statements I made are are valid as they state what many regard as the real intentions behind the US policy of war ! Therefore your statement about me doing the anti war lobby disservice is a not really valid.
