i am trying to acquire the average shipping time from you all experience. Trying to gather tips on avoiding custom charges. I tried IW's both Regular and Priority Shipping.

The packages came in different fashion, sometime Regular took well over 2 weeks.. and on average about 10 days. For some reasons most of the time with Priority mail, it ends up with the (Canada) Custom MAMA (uncle) and arrives to me about 3-4 weeks later <talk about priority :rolleyes: >. Dont think i ever got a custom-free charge using priority mail. Have anyone experienced this?

Ever sinced i switched to NX since september. They used regular shipping and reaches me within 10 days. Rare cases, it takes two weeks. I am pleased they dont give a damn (priority :D) about my dvds! So far none of my packageS went to the uncles. :)

I even orderd from ebay. They used UPS, USPS, luckily never reached to the uncles. I remember on one of my order with Eros they used UPS and it costed me $25 to the custom uncle.

i noticed 4 dvds is a good number of dvds to buy in order to avoid charges. and also not giving priority is also a good thing. any other tips that i/others can follow to have pleasant experience?

I have been ordering from indiaweekly since a long time, I order standard mail and usually get my packages in about a week's time that works out great for me.
Never ordered from anywhere else and I don't think I will for now, indiaweekly has me happy & content.

Arjun.. Your points are well noted, i am sure!

But not sure, if you are from USA or outside USA. Also didn't understand how many dvds you usually order and how many differents methods of shipping you used.

Anyway, thanks for your post! :stupid:

i mostly order from IW, i use Priority mail & I normally get the dvd's in about 7 - 10days. since i live in australia i feel that's quiet good and it doesn't matter how many dvd's i order, it takes the same time to get to me.

It was only once that my dvds went to customs but i didn't have to pay anything. they just left a note to say that the package was opened by them & re sealed. IW weekly were sending me a copy of DVPV, i'm starting to worry because its been about 2 weeks & still nothing! i'll give it a few more days i guess.

I stay in Canada and normally from indiaweekly the normal mail takes 5-7 days. i have never had to wait longer.
