In the Jan 2002 edition of Filmfare, there is a list of all films released in 2001 for the Filmfare Awards. Here are some that seemed to have missed a DVD release, maybe Eros, Vidoe Sound and WEG are interested in releasing these?

Aadamkhor Daayan
Badla Aurat Ka
Bistar :0
Chandal Atma
Ek Kunwara Teen Kunwari
Ghar Main Ho Saali To Pura Saal Diwali
Hawas Ki Raat :0
Hello Girls :0 :0
Jalta Badan :0 :0 :0
Josh-e-Jawani ;)
Kahani Saali Jeeja Ki
Kunwari Chudail
Main Hoon Beauty Queen
Main Hoon Kunwari Dulhan
Main Hoon Pyaasi Suhaagan (is this some kind of trilogy?!?)
Meri Chattri Ke Neechey Aaja
Meri Dhoti Tera Ghagra :0
Rakhail No. 1
Saali Gharwali Aur Baharwali
The Telephone
Zaroorat

I bet you can guess what most of these films are about :D

Guys !
I saw a film 'Vatsyayana Kamasutra' posted as a New arrival at IndiaWeekly a few days back, and then it suddenly disappeared. Anyone knows why?
Also, can anyone suggest any good movies from the 'Adult' section of IndiaWeekly? have heard a lot about 'Bombay Funtasy' and 'Girls of Kamasutra' . . . . :baaa:
sknath, any comments? reviews ? ;)

The reason most of these missed a DVD release is probably becasue a lot of them never really got released in the theaters here in India. By the way, most of these titles are dubbed versions of Malayalam films released in the Morning shows of seedy, run down theaters. I personally don't remember any of these titles being released here in Delhi. Well actually it's not like I keep track of what's showing in the seedy theaters or in the morning shows.

Another film which missed a DVD release was "Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi" with Rinke Khanna & Sanjay Suri back in mid 1999. Though the film failed miserably every where at the box office, i was still intrigued in seeing the film. And the film had one of my favorite songs of that year "Musa Musa"

According to 70mmbollywood, Columbia TriStar were the distributors of Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi, and first ever for a Hindi/bollywood film. Imagine if this film had gone on to be a success at the box office, it would have been bollywood's first Hindi DVD by CT, instead of LAGAAN.

Apparently, no dubbed films can be entered for nomination in the Filmfare Awards, so it looks like all these movies are actually proper Hindi movies!!

hey! hey! hey!... what a coincidence :DD: i was actually born in delhi (Talwar General Hospital). And i lived around a location so-called "karoll bag" which is a few blocks away from Chandni Chonk and my family still owns the place where i grew up in, unfortunately i only make a visit to my home land once every 4-5 years. I SOOOOO wish i could come with you filmibuff, i really do envy you! :(
