watched this movie last night along with Karz, finished both movies in a record 30minutes :D had to fast forward most of the movie because it was so damn easy to predict the scenes as they came along.

watched Pardesi Re also..same story here, but atleast it was fun to watch Ashutosh Rana dance :D move over hrithik the new dance sensation is here :D :p :)

yes!! with due respect, i agree, it seemed, i have written and directed the film, rishtey mostly moves at very slow pace only to get slower rest of the time..MONOTONOUS!!

Anil Kapoor was GOOD as usual, Karisma is OK, too, looks GOOD!! Shilpa, to be or not to be, wont make much difference, clitchful plot, monotonous melodrama, but family watchable flick, for good performances, GETS EXTREMELY DULL, very much unlike INDRA KUMAR previous films, like RAJA/ISHQ and even MANN!!no lightful moments imho!!

watched it a few hours ago...

average movie - good storyline but the execution dilutes ANY impact..

anyways, i thought it was kind of odd, the way they stole the race scene at school STRAIGHT OFF FOREST GUMP!?!

dogra ji, saare scene chori ke they, kabhi, raja hindustani, kabhi, hmbpk, kabhi forest gump, kabhi boxer, a few songs remind u of mann, style of picturization, story line/plot extremely, badly executed...just good performances of actors, and looks of karisma!!music was no shakes either!!

back ground by monty sharma was better!!

Actually the film is based on 1979 hollywood film 'The Champ' which starred Jon Voight and Faye Dunaway. The film did very well in India back when it was first released. Let me put it this way, I don't think anyone could have done a worse job of copying that film than what Indra Kumar has done with Rishtey.
Indra Kumar, in my opinion, is another one amongst a long list of over rated directors from Bollywood. 'Dil' was a good movie for its time, 'Beta' was average, and from there on he has only made crap, namely Raja, Ishq, Mann and one other crappy film.
