I don't believe IW will send a Pirate. Open case, Poor shape, Faded cover, may be. I have to beg them to send me an unauthorized version. Mostly, I fail.

beyondyourlevel, can't see the DVD names as icons aren't working. Please list.

As Ali said, it's difficult to classify which version is Pirate and which version is not. I am sure IW and most other web stores will send the officially released version by default. In case, a DVD is shipped, when official version is not out yet, then may be?? We all know the extent of Piracy as well as authorized versions of un-acceptable quality.

Official song DVDs are listed on YRF website - I could only find Dance Busters - where the other two came from is a mystery for the Twilight Zone. Song DVDs tend to be done by anybody who can lay their hands on DVD authoring equipment.

Lalkar and Baghavat are also on http://indofilms.com/ as coming soon DVDs - don't say who the DVDs are from though :sus:

Yes they do CA..... and naming and shaming them here is the best policy to educated customers abt them.....

Check my previous posts of Coolie / Tere Mere Sapne (in the DVDs to avoid section) where I indicated that IW was selling them !...

As for opened DVDs... I disagree with them.... (and I think even the HIGHER authorities here on zulm :d) will agree with me on this... This is and and still is a pretty lame excuse used by many e-tailers to defame indiaweekly.. but alas they have not been able to change my shipping prefs.... (rather I am sure it has helped many more customers switch over to IW ) :D... I have the Humraaz and Company DVDs which are without inlay cards... that doesnt make them Pirates ! :nopity:

Ali

I saw Lalkar and Baghawat on another site - I really can't remember which though - and they were both released by Sagar films (or something like that) - I thought I heard that Ramanand Sagar was releasing his own movies on DVD - I've seen a couple before these as well.........

Checked IW site.
Baghavat and Lalkar show up as "Asian" release. I know it for a fact, Asian are the right holders for these two and other Ramanand Sagar titles.

Can't say much about the other two song titles. IW or their spokesman should clarify or correct it.

I have this feeling that they copy dvds and sell them off as originals thus generating them more profit. From what i hear it is not that hard to do. I recently recieved Mohabbatein from them and the dvd just didnt have that original feel to it. Oh it came wrapped and everything. It has all the correct markings on it and everything. Im thinking about sending it to YRF and see what they say. My uncle has an original of this dvd that he bought from HMV(silly him?) so another option is to compare it with his. I never got no postcards or the autographed leaf. There was barely an inlay card. The dvd freezes half way through.

I was thinking the same and sending them the 2in1 DVD combo of Mohabbatein and K3G - will get a few pulses racing
