Finally got my copy 2day. Average disk but nice card board cover.

Is it me or have they changed the ending, there's extra dialouge after Devdas dies. Is there any other scenes in the film and where are they.

The scene I noticed was when Paro comes from her sasural to her mothers house and notices a people outside of Devdas' house and realises from her mother that the father of Devdas is dying. When she goes to see him he asks forgiveness by putting his hands together...personally I liked this alot!

That is the only scene saw while scanning through the chapters. Let me know if you notice anything else. I never saw the movie in theatres, I bought the pirate disc which I recently sold for this, and the time for that DVD was 2hrs 47mins vs 3hrs 4mins.

Some body indicated, TRAIN scene with SERVANT.

and POSSIBLY, in the END AISH on the ROOF TOP with hUSBAND! thinking, something happening??

India to send 'Devdas' for Oscars

By: UNI
October 27,2002

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The costliest Indian film ever made with a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film 'Devdas' was today selected as India's official entry for the Oscar awards in the foreign film category.

budget of over Rs 50 crore and a star cast of Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit received the highest number of votes from the jury comprising representatives of various film organisations.

Sushma Shiromani of Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) told UNI that the other films in the race were Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', Tips film’s 'Legend of Bhagat Singh', 'Agnivarsha', two Bengali and one Tamil film.

DOGRA!! But AGAIN, this CHOICE is all POLITICAL, JISKA PAAWA BADA!!

If DEVDAS goes, means, I am glad K3G did not go..(shameful).

BOLLYWOOD has its lIMIT to produse..PRESENTABLE GOOD FILMS! KIYA BURA WAQT AAYA!! KKKG and DEVDAS OSCAR maen LADAEN GI!! :baaa: :bangbang:

OUT OF SLB's 3 FILMS, IMHO, only KHAMOSHI..the MUSICAL was the movie of that CALIBRE and UNFORTUNATELY, because of its FATE/POLITICS(SLB did not have BHARAT BHAII BEHIND HIM). it was never SENT for NATIONAL not for OSCARS! That film was BIG enough even to EARN a BEST ACTOR/ACTRESS nomination for OSCARS for MANISHA and NANA!!(aankhen band karke)

I was very disappointed in the dvd. The picture bleeds and the last half hour on the dvd i got the voice was out of sync for abotu a second and a half. I hate looking at a movie when it's out of sync.
As for the second disk, it's a complete waste of time. i know lots of people are saying why are we complaing but if this is suppose to be the best that bollywood has to offer in a movie then it should deserve a better dvd with lots of extras.
The extras on the HSSH dvd was 100% better than what they gave us on the DEVDAS second disk. :ffs:
