Everyone's right, it's the Dil Chahta Hai DVD itself that is flawed! Unbelievable!!!!! Talk about the ultimate evidence of a lack of quality control...

Regarding India Weekly, everyone's faith was justified - Afzal did indeed e-mail me back and offer either an exchange or a replacement with another movie entirely. I wanted to post this as a new topic to make sure everyone saw it, b/c truly they are the most efficient and inexpensive store on the web, and I would hate it if someone had seen my other post and been discouraged from ordering and ended up wasting money and time at - shudder! - India Plaza (cue ominous music, Beethoven's 5th!).

Cheers!

Hey, just a question, but where do you guys live? The reason I ask is that most Indian movie forums are filled with either incoherent babble or thug language/slander. What I've seen on this website is good insightful comments, courtesy, and above average wits.

It's actually fun reading what you guys post. Keep it up! Anyways, just so I can figure out why some forums are disasterous and this one rocks, I'd like to know where you guys live, if you care to share. thanks.

Well Afzal sent me two different replies to an email about a faulty copy of Love Liye Kuch Be Karega. In one email he agreed to refund postage I would incur in sending the disc form the UK to US.

In the next email there was a complete turnaround and he said they would not refund any costs I incurred as a result of them sending me a faulty disc.

In the end I could not even be bothered. The only other companies to have sent me faulty discs were Amazon and CDGuru. Amazon sent a replacement disc without me returning the original and I was able to return the original using a freepost address. CDGuru also swapped the disc and refunded the postage.

I was impressed by IW prices but in my opinion their after sales service sucks.

Abrocketsfan,

I'm from California, USA. The forum is very amusing, isn't it? I read it for a couple of months before joining -- was finally swayed by how cool everyone seemed.

Anyway, I've formulated a theory that joining the forum is a self-selective process: some people must balk at how dry the description sounds. Discuss Indian DVDs? Not actors, or rumors, or movie reviews? Many people, before they click on in and discover some very interesting discussions about all of the above, probably surf off to what they consider less restrictive message boards.

This might be a point to consider if the moderator/webweaver seeks a broader audience for the forum.

Hi simran, abrocketsfan

Don't worry about the Indiaweekly thing as we always promoting it. Also nearly everyone had problems with the DCH dvd especially on samsung players. Here's the link...

Glad you find zulm a great place to hang out. The credit has to go all to Ali actually for keeping quality control. BTW I'm from Singapore.
