very melodious compositions. Sandish Shandliya uses his singers including USTAD Sultan khan(piya basanti fame), and instrumentation, very competently, indeeed.
Some times u get feel of Rehman and other time reminds u of one and only veteran composer BHUPEN HAZARIKA? But sound track is capable to stand out on its own!!
But, I must admit! not every body's cup of tea is this one.
After watching preview, seems songs are going to hold/gell very well in the feature along with brilliantly composed background music too.


After 'Monsoon Wedding', 'Daman' and '16 December', I-Dreams Productions is ready with its third venture, 'Agni Varsha'. Incidentally, the film was originally being produced by Kerry Packer's 9 Gold but the company folded up before the film could be completed and it was taken over by I-Dreams. Directed by debutante Arjun Sajnani, 'Agni Varsha' is a period drama, an adaptation of certain portions from the religious epic 'Mahabharat'. On hearing its soundtrack, one can say for certain that this film is going to be a very different experience. The album has six tracks all composed by Sandesh Shandilya on lyrics by veteran Javed Akhtar.
On the whole, the soundtrack of 'Agni Varsha' is pretty decent though it may not be outstanding. It is one of those albums to which everyone contributes his mite.
