Another Tid-bit/ Inquiry:

Happened to come across this picture of Leela Mishra, holding Palayboy.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0592789/?ref_=tt_cl_t6

I find it funny. Does anyone know, which film is it from ??

That's from Chashme Buddoor.
The movie is a purely new class of comedy, and it'd be a crime not to watch it.

Oh, and here I have yet another YouTube link to present. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkoahnVzuxU

They had restored the film, which is now available to watch on YouTube. The difference between the DVD and this version is a day and night contrast.

UPDATE: a working link now added to the original post, thank you Rana.

Thanks Ragz for the youtube link. But, this youtube posted here anfd also the link don't work from where I am. Perhaps it's available for India only or has some registration requirements etc ??

I searched on youtube and found a few other working links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkoahnVzuxU

Because of youtube, I did not have to wait for access to my DVD that would have been another 3 weeks. Youtube prints are pretty good. Perhaps better than DVD that I have ??

Watching the movie, old memories came afresh. That Leela Mishra scene is at 128 min marker. It could have been funny as she gets hold of Playboy and opens it. Instead, it was left as 2-3 sec suspence. She grabs a magazine, opens it to pass time, but hosts quickly grab it back, avoiding any shock or damage. Movie was sure funny all the way.

I thought of another scene, but was not in this film. I think it's in a similar starcast/ genere film KATHA. The scene goes like, hero/ side-hero uses his room mates' expensive perfume as room freshner, emtying the whole bottle.

Found this blog write-up on the old actress Ameeta. The article also contains a few of her recent pictures. However, I am in a state of awe. Is that really her? I'm sure, since we've only seen her as a young actress, looking at these pictures suddenly seems astonishing. What do you think?

Found this rare footage of Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar singing their respective solos from Do Raaste at a function. I'm unable to determine what year this was filmed in, but the texture of Lata Mangeshkar's voice hints that it's either from 1969 or the very yearly 1970s. This particular orchestration of Bindiya Chamkegi makes the rendition way more catchy than the original film version itself. I had to stop myself from thrusting my hips.

Direct click on youtube video may not work at all locations (like, I couldn't). But, the link got me to the working video.
The very next video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E8SkoVIXRI makes it obvious, which year and show it was. It's Filmfare Awards Night. From the songs being played, it must be the 1970 Filmfare Awards show for the 1969 films. (Do Raaste was released Dec 5, 1969).

UPDATE:
Strangely, despite Do Raaste being released in 1969, the film was nominated for 1971 Filmfare Awards for the 1970 films. It won Best Story only and lost out on other nominations for Best Film, Best Director, Best Music and Best Supporting Actress.

So, the clip Rags posted is from the 1971 Filmfare Awards Show.

Well going back to Tasveer, I was able to get hold of a VHS of this movie the story goes something like Helen loves Feroz but he finds out his friend Sajjan had a thing for her so he leaves her and falls in love with Kalpana unaware of Sajjan's infatuation with her, anyway Feroz and Kalpana get married only to have Helen destroy their marriage but wait Sajjan come back and saves the day and Feroz and Kalpana live happily everafter.

I would like to see this film once again. Is your copy in PAL or NTSC?? Any idea if it's NTSC VHS can be bought?? Or may be, this film may see a DVD release??

BTW,
1) one scene in the end that I remember is triggering of an Avalanche due to a Gun Shot. Also, does Sajjan paint a portrait of Kalpana?? Is my memory correct??

2) Does Sajjan's character and looks resemble MF Hussain??

Rana

Found Tasveer on youtube (from VHS copy). It's incomplete though. Was posted recently and the poster says, in one of the replies, that he will post the full film shortly.

I am unable to recognize the "Yasmin" from this picture. Is she the Mr. & Mrs. '55 actress, who's real name was Vinita Bhatt. Screen name was Yasmin.
I am also unable to recognize the Sunita Prasad from this picture.
Can anyone shed more information on this?

Lata Mangeshkar; a Telephonic Interview- - From Audio Archives of Lutfullah Khan. This seems to be recorded in the early 1970s.
