Very good. Shame that the source is so badly worn. I have the reworked audio LP and CD - never saw this version of the film. I wonder if only the songs were reworked or the entire soundtrack (background music etc.)

Also recall that in the late 1980s, V Shantaram had re-released this film in 70 mm. If I remember correctly, the way I had heard the news/ documentary, it was at Maratha Mandir (#1 theatre in Bombay at the time), where it ran for a long time.

I suspect that they replaced the audio with the OST version, using video transfer from existing DVDs.
However, you can hear sound effects (waterfall sounds, fountain sounds) in the song Nain So Nain, which might be suggestive of the fact that the 70mm stereophonic source was used. The CD version does not contain these sound effects.

I need to dig out my DVD and watch it again. As far as I remember it wasn't as worn as these clips in the jukebox. I do remember the colours being washed out though. It could well be the 70mm version - probably a duplicate print as it doesn't look as vibrant as its should.
