Audio :- Dolby 4.0

When will these morons learn to encode mono tracks in Dolby 1.0? Do these idiots actually enjoy listening to the same sound coming from all around, even the dialougue?

I saw these in stores. The covers say "enhanced digital sound 5.1". wonder if the audio is really better than on the previous releases?

I'd love to get hold of the EVP's progressive one. Unfortunately, I'm too late

The good :-
~ Watermark free!
~ An additional Dolby Digital 2.0 track

Other features are what you'd usually expect from an Indian Home Media company.

What's the running length on the EVP edition? Both Moserbaer and Reliance versions are slightly cut (likely due to damaged/missing frames).

Moserbaer - 2:30:03
Reliance - 2:29:29

Can someone please confirm?

Thanks a lot! Looks like the old EVP version is still the best one so far (for being complete as well as progressive).
No matter how accurate the color rendition on these new discs is, EVP would still be preferred.

Almost 5 minutes of content is missing from the new edition.
On Moser Baer, the scene I can recall is the one directly after Mera Naam Shabnam when Asha Parekh goes to wash her Saree and Bindu comes and mocks her. This little scene is missing.
It is present on the Reliance edition, but not complete. (the dialogue is half cut)

I'm very sad that even at this stage of DVDs, these companies dish out half hearted jobs. :ffs: At least come up with the complete movie!!

With slight tweaking in display settings, the EVP version looks great; and beats the "HD" versions of movies that we get to see on YouTube and the likes. Wonderful grain pattern and great sharpness!

Just to be extra clear:
You mean 'Almost 5 minutes of content is missing IN the new edition' ??

Moreover, mostly Amazon, Netflix etc cut off top and bottom of the picture to fill a 16:9 screen.

I'm certain a good 480P video is many a times up-scaled to 1080P and even to 4K. This does not make it a true HD but tech specs will show HD.
