If I remember correctly there was prob with ero sound format, otherwise, desifilmz or eros.

i noticed the sound go to left channel only at the end of 'Hawa Hawai' song on EROS 1st version. Didn't check the whole movie though.

Thanks. I guess that would mean the DVD is PAL-to-NTSC and not pseudo-prog like the Eros and Desi versions, so it's definitely the lesser of the three.

I remember a thread - but can't get to it now.

Check out http://www.zulm.net/modules.php?op=modl ... e=&order=0 for the location of the DVD review and a thread that I think discussed the DVD (it was around 2002/2003 so memory is failing me!) The link to the thread is from the old forum so it doesn't work anymore.

Mr. India, MrIndia, Mr India, Mister India, MisterIndia

The link doesn't work but it's
http://www.zulm.net/of/search.php?query ... pagenum=20
in the old forums.

BTW, not much in that link except for a few posts referring to Desi Filmz Mr India and then to the review but links don't interconnect anymore.

I advise to stay away from the Shemaroo version. And find the Eros one.

The sound is bad on eros isn't it?
I am watching the shemaroo version -- glorious sound (well almost ;-) )! appears to be from the 4-track theatrical! Niice!

are there really two eros versions?

Desi Filmz and EROS DVDs of Mr India are Anamorphic and are > 1.78:1 AR (close to 2.35:1 or 2.2:1)

Shemaroo DVD is non-anamorphic (letterboxed) and is 1.78:1 AR, picture cut from sides.

This was released on Blu-ray - been meaning to pick it up sometime ... not really a favourite film of mine but good to watch when in the right mood.
