Rana, you are mistaken. This topic "Ek Hi Bhool (1981) By Madhu/Bhavana [DVD Shots]" does not say that it is Russian DVD.

OMG!! Aren't those Russian shots so good for a 1957 film??

I'll obtain it if possible.

Thanks for the thread, Muz and Natalie for the shots

Muz, thanks for this wonderful thread. Its great to compare between the two versions.

But since the Russian version has got no subtitles, I'm at a loss how I'll understand the film.

But anyways, the PQ is great for which I must definitely catch hold of it.

Is the OAR 16:9 or 4:3?

Which of the two versions is cropped? Is it Indian (16:9 to 4:3 or Russian 4:3 to 16:9)

The Russian version to me looks colorized a la Naya Daur style.

Hey - the Russian DVD has English subtitles for the dialogues. The songs are in Hindi. I don't know what the OAR was for the Hindi release - but this DVD looks to be the OAR for the Russian release.

Oh! Does it? Because I saw Natalie's post where she said that subtitles are absent.

Hopefully the Russian version has the OAR.

BTW, is the sound in the Russian version 5.1 (genuine or fake) or Mono?

My DVD has subtitles as well as English narrative DUB and French DUBs. Sound is mono.

I think all this is enough for the DVD to be worth a buy. Thanks.

I'm sure that the source is speckle and blemish free or it isn't?

The PQ gives me a virtual impression that the audio is excellent as well.

The audio is good - no blu-ray of course but good. The songs sound lovely.

Best was Dhoool Ka Phool, full 154 min corresponding to film 4200 meters on CC (1970). It's Pseudo-Prog with 3-2 pull down available and hence Progressive. Despite low bit rate (DVD-5), PQ beats any Hindi B/W DVD.

This makes Mamta DVD, a good one to look for as Russian version is almost an hour longer than the Hindi DVD

Can we have screenshots then?

Hi!
I finally saw the song 'Nadir Dheem Tana Dere Na' on YouTube.
Very happy to watch a classical song with incredible AQ/PQ.
But that video was squished a bit.

Padmini is great, pretty and graceful.

The actor too is great.

It sure has got to be a classic.

Can't wait for a DVD.
