I'm looking forward to seeing this - I'm not convinced it will work, but it's different enough to warrant a viewing. I'm particularly interested to see how Karan Johar's film films in with the others.

'Bombay Talkies' Is A Flop
5th May 2013

'Bombay Talkies' is a flop as it collected around 3.75 crore nett over its first weekend. The film started at a little over 1 crore nett on Friday and then had a 25% jump on Saturday while Sunday collections remained similar to Saturday.

The weekend business is so low that even if weekdays do steady business it is irrelevant to the overall outcome.

The film is unlikely to even recover the money spent on print and advertising from theatrical business in India.
